Taio Cruz writing songs for next Rihanna album

R&B singer Taio Cruz, who made it to number one in America with Break Your Heart, says he's written material for Rihanna's next album.

The star flew in to perform Dirty Picture with Ke$ha at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Bangor and said he hoped the songs were good enough.
"I just wrote a couple of songs for Rihanna recently," he said. "Whether it goes on her album or not, who knows? I've submitted the songs and hopefully they get on the album."

The singer shot to fame in America after achieving modest success with his first two albums in the UK. He's also produced hits for the likes of Cheryl Cole, JLS and Tinchy Stryder but says writing for Rihanna came naturally to him.

"It was pretty easy," he said. "I tried to encapsulate how confident she is and how beautiful she is, how sexy she is and how much of a superstar she is and just put that into a record.
"I think hopefully I've done that."

With a new track (Dynamite) out, album released on 1 June in America and a single also at number one in the US radio airplay chart, the 27-year-old Londoner is in demand on both sides of the Atlantic.

"Telephone"'s curiosities

As you know, the most recent Lady GaGa's videoclip, with Beyoncé, called "Telephone" has travelled around the whole world because, like it or not, is audiovisual art (in my opinion).

In this short film that lasts almost ten minutes,'Telephone' continues the argument narrated in 'Paparazzi', another Lady GaGa's music video, where he was arrested for murder. Jonas Akerlund, the Swedish director who has directed other artist's videoclips like Madonna, made a plot in which Gaga acts up in and out of prison until he is saved by her friend and 'bad girl' Beyoncé, which helps her to escape. A short film where there is everything and nothing is spared in an elaborate staging with women, men and styles very much in "line Gaga".

I think it could be one of the best music videos of 2010 for its originality. Do you believe the same?

It isn't only a crazy video, but it has some pretty amazing things hidden in it:

  • WINK AT STAR WARS
Poisons: Fex-M3 released of Star Wars universe, Meta-cyanide of Tiberium and Dune of Command and Conquer game.

  • "HOUSE OF GAGA", MISSPELLED
It's really Haus of GaGa, which is her productive team.

  • "EIN", MISSPELLED
The number 1 in German is Eins with s.

  • THE NCIS' ROADSIDE RESTAURANT
The restaurant appears in the video has been used in the serie NCIS, which in Spain is called NAVY.

  • LADY GAGA'S SISTER
Natali Germanotta, her sister, appears in the videoclip.

  • WINK AT ANIME
The woman in this scene says "One Piece", which refers to a famous Japanese anime serie.

  • THERE'S A PORN-STAR
Called, apparently, Alektra Blue

  • THE PRISON'S NAME

  • TELEPHONE LYRICS IN SWEDISH
At the bottom of the screen appears the lyrics in Swedish

  • MS. MANN OF SCARY MOVIE
She's one of the security guards

Summer "eclipse" to the rhythm of Muse

Edward, Bella and Jacob, of course, come back to the big screen again after breaking all records so far in selling books, DVDs and soundtracks. The Twilight saga is a money machine and everything that bears his stamp turns to gold. Nobody in the entertainment industry wants to risk this passion cools down too soon, so that's the reason why 'Eclipse' comes to cinemas on June 30, with a difference of less than a year since the premiere 'New Moon'

Following the strategy of previous installments, some weeks before the film premiere we already know the song list and the first extract from the soundtrack, included the British band Muse's new song (authoress', Stephanie Meyers, favourite band), "Love is forever" wich is inside the theme "Neutron Star Collision".

Music has played a key role in two previous films. The themes, of various groups, have helped to create this environment something gothic, alternative and even some dark shadowy landscapes of Forks, the rainiest town in United States and, therefore, the perfect hiding place for vampires, always reluctant to show itself at sunlight. Both 'Twilight' and 'New Moon' have helped to know public about indie groups like Paramore and Linkin Park. In turn, disks have been a golden opportunity to promote the release of each films in musical hits, besides being a sure success on iTunes, YouTube and Spotify.

To enjoy 'Eclipse' we have to wait until June 30, shortly before (June 8) we will buy the soundtrack in all its forms.

Vampire fever returns! Or it never went away?

EUROVISION 2010: How did it end?

THE WINNER: Germany!

Yesterday, after an exciting voting in front of 18,000 people in a fully packed Oslo Telenor Arena and millions of TV viewers all over Europe, it was finally Lena from Germany who received the highest number of points from televoters and juries from the 39 countries participating in this year's edition of Europe's Favourite TV-show! Germany managed to gather 246 points altogether, followed by maNga from Turkey with 170 points and Ovi & Paula Selling from Romania who collected 162 points.

Europe experienced a breathtaking show live from the Telenor Arena in Oslo tonight with 25 acts from 25 countries giving their very best. Twenty of these had qualified from the two Semi-Finals while host nation Norway and the so-called 'Big Four' - France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom - were automatically set for the Final. After all 39 countries had voted, it was Lena from Germany who was the lucky winner with his song Satellite, collecting 246 points altogether.

Pretty much out of nowhere – apart from the homemade dance videos and a few attempts with the school band – Lena conquered the audience’s heart during the national German final for the Eurovision Song Contest. “I didn’t tell my friends about my first casting for the show, so there wouldn’t be any stupid comments if I got kicked out straight away,” she says, thinking of her terrible stage fright. Even though Lena danced regularly during her childhood – from Ballet to Jazz and Hip Hop – she made her way to music without piano lessons or vocal training. But she got her chance, grabbed it and developed rapidly. Directly after the German national final, her single Satellite went to the top of all national charts and stayed there for weeks. Lena even created a new German download record: never before had a song sold so well in such a short time!

Spontaneous sabotages Spanish singer at Eurovision contest

A spontaneous attempted to sabotage the performance of Spanish representative Daniel Diges during Eurovision song contest.
Spain got 15th place with 68 points, the best record in the last six years with the theme Algo pequeñito (Something little).
Diges was the second to go on stage. Suddenly, a spontaneous tried to sabotage his performance. For this reason, the organization of the event allowed him to repeat his song again after completing the performance of the 25 remaining countries.
The man who broke during his performance has been identified as Jaume Marquet Cot , known as Jimmy Jump for jumping during several football matches.
Few hours after Eurovision song contest had finished, dozens of groups about Jimmy Jump had been created on Facebook.

Welcome everyone to my first blog

After hours trying to know about how to use a blog and thinking about its possible topic, I have decided that music is a good one. I really love music! As a philosopher says, I think "without music life would be a mistake".

Well, my intention is to do a current music blog, of all genres, and little curious and interesting notes related to the song, the artist or the videoclip I'm talking about. I'll also include on it top 10 lists and any demand that you ask for me!

Soon I'll begin to update, I hope you like it!

CU later!
